Our client is a highly regarded global bank, with well established presence and long history in Australasia, and covering corporate, institutional and government clients. They are seeking an Associate Director / Vice President to join their local Rates Sales team. The role is due to continued success and growth in the business.

Reporting the Head of Rates, you will service the corporate client base of in G10 rates products including: flow G10 rate derivatives; DCM related derivatives; corporate solutions, and; project financing hedging. You will also be expected to produce supporting qualitative and quantitative analysis for presentation at credit committee, work with trading teams to produce accurate pricing for clients, and structurers and Directors to pitch solutions for corporate clients. In addition, you will also assist FX and other financial product sales teams including DCM and other financing businesses. You will be able to demonstrate a strong technical ability to be able to price and structure increasingly sophisticated interest rate hedging solutions.

It is expected that you will hold a degree in a Finance or Business related field, supported by at least 5-8+years’ experience, with an advanced knowledge of the G10 rates and derivative products. You will hold a solid understanding of other financial markets products, the global financial markets and economy, and credit processes, including risk modelling, and the legal documentation process. You will have a strong client focus and collaborative approach, combined with a developed risk awareness, high attention to detail and demonstrated resilience under pressure.

Vice President, Institutional FX Sales

Our client is a leading international bank, with well established presence in Australasia. They are seeking a Vice President to join their FX Sales team as part of Global Markets. The role is due to continued success and growth in the business over the recent years, in particular within Capital Markets and Investment Banking.

You will primarily cover high profile global and ASX listed institutional entities, taking responsibility for all FX enquiries and identifying opportunities to leverage the banks capabilities across FX products in order to help provide input and ideas to new product and model development process. You will be able to demonstrate a strong technical ability in FX sales/origination, pricing, structuring and sophisticated hedging solutions.

It is expected that you will hold a degree in a Finance or Business related field, supported by at least 7-10 years’ experience and demonstrable track record in institutional FX sales/origination roles at a commercial or investment bank or corporate treasury. You will have a thorough understanding of currency option pricing and theory, as well as global markets products pricing, origination and execution as part of a global banking platform; coupled with excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong relationship and stakeholder management skills.

Investment Analyst – Australian Equities

This fund manager is one of Europe’s largest active fund managers. The Sydney based Australian Equities team covers a range of products from large to small and other defensive strategies. The largest local funds being mid and small cap funds. The style of the funds are to invest in high quality companies at a reasonable price, within a concentrated portfolio and hold for the long term. The team has a flat structure where contribution is encouraged at all levels. Individuals who join the team will be able to draw upon the global capability of the company and have exposure to investment teams in other jurisdictions.

Reporting to the portfolio managers and working closely with your colleagues, your responsibilities are as follows:
• Financial and industry analysis of companies within your sector coverage including meeting with companies, competitors, sell side analysts, attending industry events.
• Contributing to investment discussion across all Australian equities products at the stock and portfolio level.
• Making yourself available to colleagues covering global equities strategies who want visibility within your allocated sectors in the Australian market.
• The sectors allocated to this individual will depend on the candidate’s interests and capabilities. It is likely over a 6+ year period most sectors will be cycled through

Target candidates will have approximately 3-5 years of experience covering equities research (buy/sell side) or potentially corporate finance. The candidate will be able to show conviction, backed up by sound reasoning.
