As a result of continued growth and success, this global platform has created a new role for a Senior Analyst / Associate to join their Australian Structured Lending and Special Situations business, supporting the senior team across all elements of origination, execution and ongoing portfolio management work. Working across a diverse sector base and with a flexible mandate, as a structured credit and restructuring focused team you will have access to a broad range of transactions and will work closely with internal clients globally as well as an extensive rage of external clients and advisers. As a Senior Analyst / Associate you will perform financial and credit analysis, including detailed financial modelling, sensitivity analysis and the preparation of investment memos and papers for credit committee, will work with senior team members to structure products and draft term sheets as well as playing a key role in the execution of transactions. A key part of the role will be transaction assessment and being able to concisely communicate and present investment ideas across the business and work closely with external clients.

Successful applicants will likely have gained 2-4 years experience in a leveraged finance or structured credit role in either a banking platform or buy side environment. You will have exceptional financial and credit analysis skills, the ability to communicate with, and present to, senior stakeholders, will have sound knowledge of term sheets, loan and legal documentation and will be comfortable writing credit memos. Given the origination focus of the role you will be someone who enjoys working in a fast paced, client facing environment and someone who can work autonomously when required and build rapport easily with a variety of clients.

We are working with a select group of Private Equity firms, assisting in the hiring of key executives for their portfolio companies.

As the CFO of a Private Equity / Private Capital backed company, these positions require someone to be both strategic and operational – acting as an integral partner across various functional and divisional facets of the business, whilst still driving the implementation of processes, procedures and systems to make sure the company reaches its goals and next phase. Unlike the role of a “control” type CFO, a strategic CFO will be growth oriented with a forward thinking view of the business and entity. Often seen as the conduit between the Portfolio Company and PE firm – reporting financial results, working out capital structure issues and M&A opportunities

Successful applicants will have proven experience as an enterprise-level CFO – having had full ownership across all functions of finance within the organisation coupled with managing corporate development and strategic initiatives. Prior Fund, PE and M&A experience is not mandatory however would be looked upon favourably.
