This highly renowned international bank, with a well-established and successful Australian business and platform, are currently looking to add an Analyst and an Associate to their Debt Capital Markets team in Sydney.

As an Analyst/Associate you will be part of a highly experienced small and dedicated team dedicated to supporting capital markets activities through deal co-ordination, arrangement of finance and execution work across both Corporate and FIG DCM. You will play a key role in building and maintaining relationships with issuers, internal and external stakeholder management and a strong execution focus. Working directly for highly experienced Directors/Managing Directors, these roles represent an opportunity to be part of high-profile market transactions, with the ability to support cross-border transactions through the bank’s global network.

As a successful Analyst, you will have completed a full graduate rotation programme, having spent at least 6 months within a DCM or Securitisation team. As an Associate you will have ideally gained between 3-6 years’ experience in DCM, Structured Capital Markets or Fixed Income in a Bank or Fund, with strong financial modelling, deal execution and documentation experience.

Both positions require you to be a confident communicator who enjoys working in a fast-paced energetic global banking environment with high-level client and transaction exposure.

Associate Director/Vice President – Interest Rate & Derivative Sales

Our client is a highly regarded global Corporate and Investment Bank, with an established presence and long history in Australia and Asia covering corporate, institutional and government clients. With a definite and confirmed growth agenda, they are seeking an Associate Director/Vice President to join their local Financial Institutions Sales team.

Reporting the Head of Financial Institution Sales, you will be charged with further building the Australian & New Zealand FI sales franchise by targeting, onboarding and developing global market relationships with asset managers, superannuation funds, banks, insurance companies and government authorities. You will support the execution of solution-based sales of the global market platform and product suite, focusing on areas of relative value and differentiation to target customers. In addition, you will partner with Client Coverage, Sales, Structuring, Trading and Research to seamlessly deliver global markets platform value proposition to local clients.

Product offering includes:
• Bonds: SSA, Corporate and FI Primary and Secondary; Repo products; Structured products
• Interest Rates Derivatives: IRS, CCS, bond forward, TRS
• Money Market: Deposits, CDs
• Foreign Exchange: spot, swap, forward, options or structured FX
• And other products that arise as a result of client conversations

It is expected that you will hold a degree in Finance or Business, supported by at least 5 – 8+ years of experience with an advanced knowledge of the rates and derivative products suite. You will have a strong understanding of financial markets products, the global financial markets and economy, credit processes, risk modelling, and the legal documentation process. With a strong client focus and collaborative approach, combined with a developed risk awareness, your high attention to detail and demonstrated resilience under pressure will contribute to your success in this role.
