Our client is a leading international bank, with well established presence in Australasia. Due to continual growth and increasing exposure, they are seeking a Senior Associate to join the Real Estate team as part of Client Coverage Group. This is an exciting time to be involved in the growth and development of the business in Australia.

The Senior Associate will play a key role in supporting the Sector Head in maintaining and growing the Real Estate Portfolio. You will primarily be looking at a variety of corporate investment grade transactions, across listed and fund market clients. You should be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of credit risk monitoring and exceptional relationship management capabilities; including maintenance of client pitch books and internal presentation materials.

It is expected that you will hold a degree in a Finance or Business related field, supported by at least 3 – 5 years’ experience in corporate or institutional banking and demonstrate a sound knowledge of the Real Estate market. You will have strong financial analysis skills, coupled with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Due to continued growth this firm is seeking to add a Senior Analyst to their Corporate Investments business as part of the Sydney team. This firm provides flexible debt and equity solutions to businesses with clear growth potentials, distinct competitive advantages and with strong management teams in place. Through the provision of capital and funding, the team helps businesses with growth, working capital needs, acquisitions and loan book funding. As part of a small, established team, you will assist the senior leaders with origination, structuring, analysis and execution of private debt investments for mid-sized Australian corporates, across the capital structure. Key outcomes of the role will involve preparing and presenting investment committee papers, developing investment theses, providing financial modelling and analysis and assisting in the execution of transactions and ongoing portfolio management work.

Successful applicants will have gained 2-4 years experience in either leveraged / structured finance in a banking platform or from debt advisory or valuations / modelling teams of a big 4 CA firm. You will have excellent communication and presentation skills, will display a high level of numerical capability, ability to apply a commercial lens to situations and will be able to work autonomously.

Our client is a global banking organisation with a long and successful track record and presence in the Australian market. Given deal flow across the team and market, the Debt Capital Markets business has created a new role, either at Analyst or Associate level, to support the Loans and Bonds business. Key focus of the role will be to work with team on the origination and distribution of loan transactions, and also the origination of bond transactions.

Working with a highly experienced team, you will work in a fast paced environment and will have the opportunity to rotate across the business and its functions in future. This role will allow you to gain full transaction execution experience from start to finish, to build an understanding of the key drivers of deals, and will involve preparing and underwriting transaction papers and memos, performing financial analysis, preparing and producing client materials and very actively building and maintaining relationships with the investor network across Australia and New Zealand. Working across both primary and secondary loans you will see a busy and active deal pipeline and will have the opportunity to interact with teams offshore.

Successful applicants will have ideally gained 2-4 years banking experience in either a DCM or Corporate / Institutional Credit or Coverage role and will be looking to build out their career in an international bank in a busy and successful product team. Candidates who have gained exposure to Infrastructure / Industrials / Transport / Utilities sectors will be well regarded. Imperative to the role is excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, that will allow you to actively engage from day 1 with investors and internal clients at all levels, and you will be someone who will enjoy a varied and diverse role.

This team acts as a consortia lead which negotiates with other debt and equity partners to create innovative and competitive bids for infrastructure projects. We are currently assisting this team hire a Senior Manager/Associate Director in either Sydney or Melbourne and Analysts for both locations. This firm is arguably the leader in their space, which affords them the ability to be involved with the best clients/co-investors, leading to the highest probability of success. The firm is a genuine principal investor so you will learn to act as advisor but also be involved in the investment process as a fund would.

Sitting in the Melbourne and Sydney Origination teams the responsibilities for the roles include:

Analyst:

• Support all aspects of the PPP bidding process
• Building of detailed financial models of PPP projects for bidding purposes
• Financial analysis relating to new PPP infrastructure investment opportunities
• Assist with deal structuring, financing and documentation
• Writing and contributing to investment analysis

Senior Manager/ Associate Director:

• Provide support in delivering PPP debt and equity financing, commercial and legal structuring, modelling, risk analysis, business case and investment analysis and all commercial and legal negotiations.
• Communicate effectively with consortia partners (around forming consortia, bid resource management, and deal time line management)
• Direct and work with external consultants/advisers
• Involved in all aspects of the bidding process including project management, negotiation and execution of deals
• Provide leadership and mentoring of junior members

Ideally candidates will be highly numerate with strong financial analysis and financial modelling ability, highly motivated with superior verbal and written communication skills. The senior manager/AD will require a proven track record in financing and structuring transactions, as well as leading and executing deals.

You will have a solid understanding of the infrastructure sector and your experience may have been gained within an investment banking, corporate finance advisory (likely from big 4 valuations, deal modelling, transaction services, infrastructure advisory), project finance or engineering background (who are involved in feasibility/financial modelling). Total years of experience is likely to be circa 1.5-4 years for an analyst and 6-10+ years for the manager/associate director level roles.

Our client is a global, diversified financial services institution that is seeking a AD/Director, Credit to join the team in Sydney. As part of a highly experienced team, you will assume both a senior hands-on analytical role as well as mentoring position – reporting to the Head of the Australian and New Zealand business. The team is responsible for working with a diverse set of financial institution clients across multiple asset classes and a key outcome of this role will be to analyse and rate structured finance capital markets transactions.

As a senior team member, you will lead client interactions and will utilise your in depth credit and structuring experience to ensure sound credit principles are applied and will both run, interpret and amend models whilst also reviewing the work of others, providing coaching and support to less experienced team members. In addition to transaction and client based work, you will assist in the ongoing operational management of the team and assist in training and development of team members.

You will have 6+ years of relevant experience in a credit risk analysis ideally in securitisation or structure; likely gained in a banking, client issuer, corporate trustee or ratings firm platform. In addition, you will demonstrate exceptional technical and analytical skills, will be a confident written and verbal communicator who enjoys working in a deal and deadline driven environment. You will have highly developed financial modelling and Excel skills and be confident interacting with clients and discussing technical analysis.
