Our client is a global bank with strong balance sheet and capital position as well as demonstrable track record in Australia. With global clients and reach they support both local and global corporates and institutions, offering corporate banking, capital markets, and investment banking capabilities. With further expansion planned to support their growth initiatives, they are now looking to add both an Associate and VP to the local the investment banking team.

As an Associate or VP, you will be responsible for developing and reviewing financial models, conducting research and analysing data to assist senior team members to advise clients. You will provide strong analytical, due diligence and transactional support on transactions and business development, working with senior team members in development of pitch books and related client materials and reviewing legal documentation and diligence reports to provide constructive feedback to external advisors. In addition, you will engage with new clients, attend to and participate in presentations and meetings, as well as liaise with lenders, lawyers, and other advisors to assist in transaction execution.

With appropriate tertiary qualifications, as an Associate in the team you will have 3+ years’ experience and Vice President 6+ years’ experience; ideally gained in investment banking or financial advisory, specifically in investment banking/M&A or corporate finance. A strong understanding of M&A, capital markets and financial risk analysis is essential. In addition you will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels both within the organisation as well as with clients and external advisors.

Our client is a global, diversified financial services institution that is seeking to make 2x senior hires to its Structured Finance & Securitisation team in Sydney. As part of a highly experienced team, you will assume both a senior hands-on analytical role as well as mentoring position – reporting to the Head of the Australian and New Zealand business. The team is responsible for working with a diverse set of financial institution clients across multiple asset classes and a key outcome of this role will be to analyse and rate structured finance capital markets transactions.

As a senior team member, you will lead client interactions and will utilise your in depth credit and structuring experience to ensure sound credit principles are applied and will both run, interpret and amend models whilst also reviewing the work of others, providing coaching and support to less experienced team members. In addition to transaction and client based work, you will assist in the ongoing operational management of the team and assist in training and development of team members.

You will have 6+ years of relevant experience in a securitisation, structured finance or credit risk role; likely gained in a banking, client issuer, corporate trustee or ratings firm platform. In addition, you will demonstrate exceptional technical and analytical skills, will be a confident written and verbal communicator who enjoys working in a deal and deadline driven environment. You will have highly developed financial modelling and Excel skills and be confident interacting with clients and discussing technical analysis.

This emerging international bank is seeking an Senior Analyst/Associate to join their global Project and Asset Finance division. The Bank has over A$1.3 trillion globally in total assets and is a leading institutional investor with a globally diverse investment portfolio. They have an increasing appetite for significant growth in project and asset financing in Australia.

As a Senior Analyst/Associate, you will be responsible for assisting the Head of Project Finance with deal origination and execution of project finance transactions, as well as liaising with key stakeholders across the business. Working with top tier institutional clients, you will be responsible for supporting origination, credit risk and financial analysis, conducting company due diligence, legal documentation, commercial negotiations with sponsors and portfolio management. In addition, conducting ongoing industry research in order to expand and grow the bank’s exposure to key clients is a vital part of your role and the overall growth initiatives of the firm.

You will have tertiary qualifications in Business, Law, Finance or relevant discipline, coupled with 2-5 years’ experience within corporate finance/project finance (infrastructure, PPP, energy preferred but not a prerequisite). It is expected that you will have sound experience in credit risk, financial analysis/modelling and exposure to origination/origination support and portfolio management. Strong communication skills and track record of executing deals are expected. You must hold full working rights in Australia.

The Senior Analyst / Senior Associate will be working directly for the Head of M&A and will assist in the origination and manage the execution of transactions; including providing detailed financial analysis & modelling, structuring and other transaction management processes as well as building relationships with external advisers and internal stakeholders as needed.

To be successful in this role, you will likely have gained ~2-5 years’ of corporate advisory experience either from an investment bank, independent advisory firm or the corporate finance team of a top tier Chartered Accounting practice. They will have proven exposure to end-to-end deal processes and be eager to work in a hands-on, deal driven environment in a very experienced team.

The Analyst, ECM will support the origination, structuring and execution of equity transactions on behalf of the firm’s clients. This individual will be involved in all ECM workstreams including the preparation of presentation materials, provide analysis of industry and equity market conditions and provide support across a full range of ECM transactions.

Candidates for the Analyst, ECM role candidates will have gained ~2-4 years’ experience in a relevant professional services environment such as a chartered accounting practice, law firm, corporate adviser or sell-side equities, ideally with some exposure to equity markets and/or IPO transactions. To succeed in the role, they will display well-developed quantitative and technical skills and be able to blend this effectively with strong communication and project management skills.

To succeed in either role, you will also need to be a confident communicator with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders both on and offshore.
