Our client is a leading international bank, with a strong presence in Europe, North America and across Asia Pacific. As part of new growth strategy, they are looking to appoint a Director within the Energy Project Finance team. The team provides a full range of project finance and advisory services across the energy and natural resource sectors (including power, renewables and oil & gas). The Director will work closely with the Head of, supporting junior members of the team, leading and running deal teams, as well as working closely with other key stakeholders across the bank, in an integral role to continue to increase the team and the banks’ exposure in Australia.
The Director will be responsible for the origination and execution of finance transactions in the energy and natural resource sector in Australia. These include owners, developers and investors in renewable energy, power and waste energy projects and major energy utilities. You will be integral in the structuring and execution of finance transactions including determining and negotiating financing terms and conditions, management of the due diligence process, reviewing and providing senior input into credit applications, term sheet drafting and contributing to the effective and responsible execution of lending and advisory mandates for the energy team. You will have 10+ years’ experience in project finance and have a demonstrated understanding of the Australian energy, renewables and natural resources market. It is expected that you have strong technical skills and confidence in running an end-to-end deal process, with excellent communication and rapport building skills.
