Our client is a leading international bank, with presence a strong presence in Europe, North America and across Asia Pacific. As part of new growth strategy they are looking to appoint an Associate and a Vice President within the Energy and Natural Resources team. The department provides a full range of project finance and advisory services across the energy and natural resource sectors (including power, renewables and oil & gas). The Vice President will work closely with the Head of Energy and Natural Resources team as well as other key stakeholders across the bank, in an integral role to continue to increase the team and the banks’ exposure in Australia.

You will contribute to the origination and execution of finance transactions in the energy and natural resource sector in Australia. These include owners, developers and investors in renewable energy, power and waste energy projects, major energy utilities. You will be integral in the structuring and execution of finance transactions including determining and negotiating financing terms & conditions, management of the due diligence process, reviewing and providing senior input into credit applications, term sheet drafting and contributing to the effective and responsible execution of lending and advisory mandates for the energy team. For the Associate role you will have 4-6 years of experience and the Vice President should have 7+ years’ experience in project finance and have a demonstrated understanding of the Australian energy, power and/or renewables market. Position Summary
The Business Analyst is responsible for supporting the ATCO East Coast business and project development team, providing analysis focused on project and growth strategies.
Initially a 6-month contract, this position supports both project activities as well as assessing and researching new business opportunities. The role will require developing new financial models, managing and updating existing project models, developing and maintaining project reporting and controls and building new financial models, analyses and databases as required.
In addition, the role will contribute to the development and preparation of strategy and board papers to screen and assess opportunities for investment by ATCO in the National Electricity Market in Australia.
This job entails working closely with the East Coast development team to develop qualitative and quantitative assessments of proposed projects and developing supporting materials for investment committee decisions.

Education, Skills & Experience
• Degree in engineering or commerce/finance.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel modelling skills
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in the National Electricity Market
• Experience working in any of the following: a big 4 accounting firm; a consulting firm with a recognised energy market practice; a corporate which is a NEM market participant
• A strong team player with the ability to motivate and engage other members of the Business Development team and other ATCO employees
• Ability to develop long term, trusting relationships with potential business partners and stakeholders
• Self-sufficient, self-starter experienced in operating in a satellite office or in an environment with little day to day head office contact
• High ability to filter, balance and deliver upon competing demands
