Our client is an independent organisation offering concessional loans, debt and equity funding in real estate and infrastructure, managing over $1 billion in investments. Joining the team, you will have exposure to a broad range of real estate and project finance related transactions, working in a lean team and directly supporting the Head of Credit to create a lasting impact to local communities throughout Australia.

This role represents an excellent opportunity for an experienced credit risk professional, providing critical analytical support for key business partners, including the originations team, legal counsel, and credit committee to ensure the efficient approval and documentation of broad range of real estate finance transactions. You will be actively involvement in complex deals from an end to end process and play a key role in driving superior outcomes.

Candidates will ideally have 10+ years of experience in a banking/financing role, predominantly in the real estate and/or construction related financing space. The successful candidate will have excellent credit risk management skills, ideally with experience underwriting loan transactions in property and strong financial modelling and forecasting capabilities. You will also have strong relationship and client engagement skills, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. A tertiary qualification in Commerce (or similar) and a strong academic background (CA/CFA desirable).

Reporting to the Director, Investment, as AD Financing Partnerships, you will assist in the building and execution of the NAIF Small Loans Program. NAIF acts as a wholesale funder, providing commitments to financing partners who will then on lend these funds through a series of small to medium sized loans.
You will develop and foster networks and relationships with financing partners, advisors, stakeholders and regulators – and be responsible for rolling out the Small Loans Program with other lenders. You will also have the opportunity to work with the origination team to execute, structure and manage infrastructure transactions.

Tertiary qualified in finance, accounting, business or similar, you will bring 7-10+ years’ relevant experience in a financial institution, with a background in business development, structuring, advising and financial/investment analysis in business or commercial banking, corporate or project financing. You will have strong negotiation skills and familiarity with financing agreements. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are expected as well as strong stakeholder management capabilities with clients, investors and financiers and key internal stakeholders, including key government contacts.

Requirements:
