Current opportunity exists for an experienced corporate finance professional to join this global banking platform as they continue to grow their Australian business. With exposure to cross border deals and a strong pipeline of domestic transactions, this role represents and opportunity to play an active role in the execution of deals whilst also having the opportunity to participate in origination activity and manage client relationships. Working in support of a highly experienced senior team, and with a strong Analyst and Associate team in place, you will enjoy the ability to be part of a nimble team that has a global presence but with opportunity to take on additional responsibility and help to drive revenue for the platform. You will have gained 7+ years transactional corporate finance experience, ideally within an investment banking environment, but applications will also be considered from candidates who have worked for independent corporate advisory platforms. Exceptional opportunity for a corporate finance / M&A professional to join this global bank and be an integral member of a highly credentialed institutional coverage team that assumes responsibility for a key group of clients across the Institutional Industrials sector. This global banking group operates across a range of institutional and wholesale markets providing a full range products and services to clients including Capital Markets, Acquisition Finance, Client Coverage, Trade and Commodity Finance, Capital Structuring and M&A globally. Capital Markets include DCM and ECM.
DCM provides syndicated loans, public bonds (senior, hybrid and sustainable), USPP, high yield loans & bonds, and ratings advisory – used for refinancing, working capital, capital expansion funding and strategic M&A related situations. The group works closely bank’s corporate clients at CEO, CFO and Treasurer level.

You will report to the Global Head of Capital Markets directly and be responsible for the origination, execution and distribution of all Capital Markets related opportunities for clients in Australia and NZ. And be responsible for marketing and originating local capital markets opportunities. This will include a primary focus on loan arranging and underwriting and secondary focus on bond origination (USPP and EUR) and wider CM products such as Hybrids and ECM. In addition, advising clients on funding opportunities, capital structure, types of debt, target investor base, and market developments. Other key aspects of the role will be to structure debt solutions, assess capital structures, prepare and negotiate term sheets, assess risk, and all aspects of transaction execution, distribution and administration.

Tertiary qualified in finance, accounting, business, economics, law or other banking related discipline, you will have a minimum of 5-8 years relevant experience in corporate/institutional banking, preferably loan markets (loan syndications, project/leveraged/acquisition/structured finance) or similar debt capital markets role. You will have an in-depth knowledge of debt products and current debt market conditions, a proven deal track record of underwriting and distributing loans across the credit spectrum, and experience pitching and negotiating capital solutions at CEO, CFO, Treasurer levels.
Skills expected for success in this position will include: sound judgment, strong risk management and credit skills, working knowledge of legal, financial analysis, and debt structuring aspects of transaction. This will be overlayed by strong commercial and negotiation skills, excellent presentation and both written and verbal communication skills.

Current opportunity exists to join a leading International bank in Sydney and support the senior team with client coverage activities.

Working directly for the senior team, you will play a key role in the management and support of Institutional client relationships for the bank across a variety of sectors including Industrials, Retail, Health and Telco / Media / Entertainment. As part of an active deal team you will work closely with both your product and credit partners internally at the bank to ensure successful completion of client engagements and cross sell of product, whilst also ensuring there is a strong focus on the management of the existing portfolio. As one of the Senior Analysts in the team you will assist in the preparation and delivery of credit assessments, pitch documents and client communication and you will have direct access to the client base. Working for an International bank this role will provide you with an opportunity to gain cross border deal exposure as well as the potential for mobility offshore.

To be successful you will have a proven background of working in a corporate / institutional banking credit or relationship management role for 3-4 years and will be looking for an opportunity to work for an international platform with a flat structure and an opportunity to work closely with clients. You will have strong credit skills and will be a confident communicator.
