About the Opportunity
Investment Director (12 Month Contract) – Real Assets

• Leading Pension Fund

• Infrastructure, Property & Private Credit

• Sydney or Melbourne location

Our client is a leading pension fund, with over A$250 Billion of assets under management. The unlisted real assets investment team has now deployed over A$20 Billion directly across ANZ, Europe and North America. They have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Investment Director to join a leading Real Assets investment team in Australia.

The Investment Director is expected to utilise their unlisted direct investment experience in this role to promote a strong risk culture, strengthen and lead portfolio risk activities and maintain a network of global relationships in support of best practice investment risk management. You will be a key stakeholder contributing to the design, implementation and cultural alignment of the investment risk capability. This is a key investment and transaction focused role, providing a portfolio view of transaction and asset management activity across infrastructure, property, and direct private credit. And you will traverse investment, asset ownership and business risks arising from the activities of the investment platform and portfolios, as well as contributing to the broader risk management and reporting functions across Investments.

The successful candidate will hold a minimum 10 years’ experience in Infrastructure or Property Investment and/or Advisory, Asset Management and/or relevant transactional support, with strong experience in unlisted asset transactions, asset management and/or portfolio management – and familiarity with large scale transactions. You will demonstrate maturity, confidence and natural disposition to challenge and debate with senior members of the investment team, operating with a high level of autonomy and creative thinking. It is expected that you demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with senior management, team members and other internal/external colleagues – you are self-motivated with a strong work ethic and able to multitask effectively.
