The business is uniquely positioned for growth despite current, tougher market conditions. It is proactively looking to grow its presence via strategic investments into new and existing business lines and ventures, along with value maximisation initiatives across its existing value chain. As a part of this growth trajectory, there is now an exciting opportunity for a technically astute and commercially savvy Analyst Corporate Finance to join their team based in Queensland’s Gold Coast.

The focus of the role will be to provide analytical, modelling and commercial expertise towards the execution of the firm’s high-priority strategic, investment, and growth initiatives. In support of these initiatives, the successful candidate’s key responsibilities will include:

• Financial evaluation through ground-up financial modelling & financial analysis

• Building business/investment cases in relation to potential growth opportunities to assess financial impact & find optimal investment solutions

• Conducting due diligence, including the review & preparation of legal/transaction documentation for the firm’s capital projects & other major developments

• Financial evaluation of the firm’s exiting portfolio of investments, projects & developments

• Stakeholder engagement & developing collaborative relationships with internal & external stakeholders which will include the preparation & presentation of quality board papers & investment packs

The successful candidate will likely bring ~2-8 years’ experience in investment banking, Big 4 transaction advisory/financial modelling and/or corporate finance within a high-performing corporate. Experience in infrastructure or any other capital-intensive business will be considered an advantage. You must demonstrate a well-developed technical financial modelling/valuation skill set, a commercial savvy and a desire to directly impact a dynamic and growing business. The confidence and charisma to partner with and present to senior stakeholders would also hold you in good stead.

Applicants must have full working rights in place for Australia to be considered for this opportunity.
