As the enthusiastic hordes of Swifties regain their collective breath post the whirlwind visit of a certain T Swift and her Eras tour we too at JMES are taking stock post a busy start to the year.

Well that one certainly flew by didn’t it? And despite some moans and groans in certain quarters concerning the challenging environment for raising capital, deals falling over, the IPO market remaining firmly closed - it’s been a super solid year for us here at JMES.

Having just finished The Lord of The Rings trilogy (yes, a late bloomer I know) I have been immersed in the wacky world of fables and folklore of late. It opened my eyes to the fact that we at JMES have our own deep catalogue of recruitment fables we often get to draw upon and occasionally relive, save these are based on real life experiences (so technically not a fable Ed).

A little premature perhaps, but you can never accuse us of not being front of foot here at JMES. Whilst closed deal volume has been down and transactions continue to get drawn out, the hiring market has been as buoyant as ever, perhaps even at its most active for experienced, quality PE professionals.

Why now is actually a good time to consider a career move…

Well what a year. One of the busiest and most rewarding in the 25 year history of JMES I think. Yet there have been both winners and losers, supernovas and commercial black holes along the way.

Whilst the property market continues to cool the hiring market remains super robust, for now.
