Our client is a leading Global Bank with a strong presence in Australia across Project and Structured Finance & Advisory. They are seeking to add a Business Management Associate to their Sydney team to assist with the continued growth of the Australian business. The Business Management team plays a crucial role in enhancing front office support and will be responsible for managing various tasks across administrative, financial, and project initiatives.  This role involves collaborating with various teams, locally and overseas, managing initiatives across Corporate Banking, Investment Banking, Global Markets, Asset Solutions Group and Treasury.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing international bank, reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer. You will be responsible for partnering with regional and global infrastructure groups to implement strategic and business plans, help build and maintain Management Information System (MIS) reports and presentations, including cost/benefit analyses, design and implement improvements to internal procedures and ensure compliance with governance standards, and assist in updating and reviewing policies and procedures. In addition to this you will assist with growth initiatives and prepare risk assessments while coordinating with internal stakeholders, as well as collaborating with Client Services and Compliance teams on AML and financial crime prevention.

The successful candidate will have the following:

• Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification with 5-10 years of relevant experience; CFA or CPA/CA is advantageous

• A strong understanding of Capital Markets, Treasury & Corporate Banking in Australia

• Familiarity with APRA, ASIC regulations & other banking compliance matters

• Excellent project management skills & ability to multitask effectively

• Proactive, adaptable & detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.

• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
