The Australian office operates as a fully integrated member of the Group’s global platform focusing on equity financing and M&A advisory assignments for a range of publicly listed companies. In addition, they are actively involved in covering the sector in Asia with a strong track record in executing outbound acquisition mandates for clients in the region. They are now looking to add an Investment Banking Analyst to their team.
Reporting to the Head of IB, Asia Pacific, you will be involved in a broad range of duties including deep research and analysis of potential M&A opportunities, preparation and review of materials used in the investment memoranda, management presentation and pitchbooks and participating in global metals & mining meetings.
Key competencies for this role include:
• Advanced financial modelling skills with the ability to develop detailed & complex financial models
• Highly numerate with strong financial analysis & valuation skills
• Solid knowledge & experience in corporate finance
• Superior written & oral presentation ability
• Highly driven & strong initiative
• Strong integrity & work ethic
• Tertiary qualifications in Commerce/Engineering or similar
You will have likely gained 1 -4 years of corporate finance/M&A experience within an investment bank, a top tier CA firm, equity research, buy-side investing or management consulting. This is an outstanding opportunity for a motivated candidate who has a genuine interest in developing their career in the investment banking world. There are also longer-term opportunities to further develop your career within one of the global offices.
