About the Opportunity
Manager, Corporate Finance – Iconic Infrastructure Asset

• Opportunity to work with an iconic business with a truly global standing

• Play a central role in critical growth & strategic initiatives

• Work with & be mentored by a high calibre & high performing leadership team

My client is an iconic, sophisticated investor-backed infrastructure business with ambitious growth plans to cement itself as a global leader in its respective field.

The business is uniquely positioned to grow despite the current, tougher market conditions and is looking to execute strategic investments into new and existing business lines and ventures, along with value maximisation initiatives across its existing value chain. As a part of this growth trajectory, there is now an exciting opportunity for a technically astute and commercially savvy Corporate Finance Manager to join their team based in Sydney.

The focus of the role will be to provide exceptional analytical, modelling and commercial expertise towards the execution of the firm’s high priority strategic, investment and growth initiatives. In support of these initiatives, the successful candidate’s key responsibilities will be:

• Ownership of the corporate valuation model & managing the firm’s valuation processes, including drafting board papers & liaising with shareholders on their individual valuation processes

• Investment evaluation of strategic & growth initiatives through ground-up financial modelling, financial analysis & forecasting

• Building business/investment cases in relation to potential growth opportunities to assess financial impact & find an optimal investment solution

• Running due diligence, including the review & preparation of legal/transaction documentation on the firm’s capital projects & other major developments

• Financial evaluation of the firm’s existing portfolio of investments, projects & developments

• Stakeholder management: developing collaborative relationships with internal & external stakeholders which will include the preparation & presentation of high-quality board papers & investment packs to the Shareholders and Executive Leadership Team

The successful candidate will likely bring ~5-8 years’ experience in investment banking, Big 4 transaction advisory/financial modelling or corporate finance in the context of a high performing corporate. The ideal candidate will bring expertise from infrastructure or other capital-intensive industries, with a demonstrated track record in financial modelling and analysis. This includes extensive experience creating, maintaining and reviewing complex valuation models. They will also have experience working on strategic projects and be capable of delivering high quality presentations and board papers to senior stakeholders. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are critical, as well as the ability to proactively solve complex problems with little guidance.

All applicants must have full working rights for Australia to be considered for these roles.
