• Credit Risk Department
• Delegated Lending Authority
• Deputy CRO
An exciting opportunity has arisen with a leading International Bank in Sydney to join the Credit Risk Department. The growing bank is seeking a Vice President to be responsible for reviewing and approving credit proposals for customers across a wide range of industries. Joining the team, you will have exposure to a broad range of transactions across structured finance such as project finance, real estate finance, infrastructure, renewables and other corporate finance related transactions.
This role represents an excellent opportunity for an experienced credit risk professional to provide critical analytical support for key stakeholders - including the originations team, legal counsel, and credit committee – and ensure the efficient approval and documentation of a broad range of finance transactions. You will have active involvement in complex deals from an end-to-end process and play a key role in driving superior outcomes. The ideal candidate would currently hold, or have previously held, a delegated lending authority (DLA) as a preference, but not a prerequisite. This opportunity has a clear runway to undertake more senior responsibilities within the risk department and the capability to become the future CRO within the bank.
Candidates will have minimum 8+ years of experience in a banking/financing role, predominantly in credit risk or related financing space. The successful candidate will have excellent credit risk management skills, ideally with experience underwriting loan transactions in corporate or structured debt – project finance, leveraged finance or real estate experience is highly desirable. You will have strong relationship and client engagement skills, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. A tertiary qualification in Commerce (or similar) and a strong academic background (CA/CFA desirable).
Please note applicants who do not have full working rights for Australia will not be considered.
