About the Opportunity
Origination Analyst – Private Equity

Our client is a leading Private Equity firm based in Sydney, focused on investing in high-growth businesses throughout Australia and New Zealand across a range of sectors including Technology, Healthcare, Business Services, Financial Services & Education. They work closely with ambitious business owners and management teams, providing strategic guidance to accelerate growth and build value and long-term success.

The firm is currently seeking an Analyst to join their Origination team in Sydney, supporting the senior team members by providing research and origination support across both the Business Services and Financial Services sectors. This is an opportunity to join a fast-paced, energetic and collegiate team and will allow the role holder to build out a career supporting a highly successful investment team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Deep industry and company research activities to identify potential investment opportunities

• Driving pipeline management through monitoring origination efforts and targets

• Conducting industry expert calls and directly interacting with business owners and contacts throughout the network to gain knowledge and information to support the investment pipeline

• Generating insights for the investment team through comprehensive analysis of market dynamics, industry shifts and competitor landscape

• Preparation of detailed research summaries and reports that will ensure successful management of the pipeline

The ideal candidate will have:

• 6 months - 3 years of work experience, most likely gained from one of the following areas; Expert Network providers, Sales / Data Support, Strategy Consulting or Transaction Services within an accounting firm environment

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or related disciplines

• Excellent written and interpersonal skills

• Strong integrity and work ethic

• Will be highly self-motivated and be comfortable working in an origination environment
