JMES is delighted to be supporting a newly established Growth Equity Investment firm with the hiring of a Senior Associate as they build their team in Melbourne. With committed capital in place and a portfolio of select, high quality businesses within the portfolio already, they are well placed to formally launch the firm. The investment mandate of the firm is centred on long-term ownership and will seek to partner closely with management teams within a select industry, and help them to grow their businesses, adding significant value through the deployment of patient and flexible capital, and the ability to invest in either the equity or debt of a company. The team will focus on long-term investment fundamentals, with a selective, high-conviction model and an active ownership approach to its investments.
To support the firm with its mandate, there is a current need for a Senior Associate to join the investment team. The role holder will work closely with the senior team to drive value in the current investment portfolio as well as to source, diligence and execute new investment opportunities. As a Senior Associate you’ll have likely gained 4-6 years’ experience across tier one corporate advisory firms and / or private capital investing. Key to your success will be an entrepreneurial mindset and a deep curiosity and passion for investing and you will be someone who will be comfortable working in a small team environment.
