This represents a unique opportunity to join an emerging Private Equity Fund and support the Investment team and Founding Partner with all aspects of investing. The Fund has successfully raised and deployed capital and is focused on investing in Australian private businesses in the small to mid-cap market who have defendable market positions and strong growth trajectories, both domestically and globally. Adopting a Partnership style approach with business owners and founders, the Fund will play an active role in the operational development and growth of the businesses and help drive them through their next phase of growth.
As an Associate you will support the existing investment team and will work across all elements of investing including screening, analysis and due diligence of new opportunities and working closely with the Portfolio to make an active contribution to their business operations as well as completing bolt on acquisitions.
Successful applicants will have likely gained 3-4 years’ experience in M&A advisory from either an investment bank, leading corporate advisory firm or big 4 CA firm. Candidates will display deep curiosity both in potential investments and also more broadly across sectors and businesses, and will be passionate about the small to mid-cap market where working with founders and business owners plays a central role. You must be a self-starter who can work as part of small team and be a highly effective relationship builder and communicator who has a strong work ethic and hunger to succeed and build a long-term career in Private Equity investing.
