Our client is a prominent Infrastructure/Energy fund specialising in Asset intensive investments, passionate about delivering exceptional value. With a focus on traditional and emerging sectors both domestically and internationally and a diverse portfolio of over $20b, it is committed to delivering long-term value through strategic investments in infrastructure.

With an increased focus direct style investments, our client is seeking a Vice President / Director to join their Infrastructure & Real Assets team in Sydney.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will build strong relationships with various internal and external stakeholders including legal, finance, ESG, fund managers, financial advisors etc. You will play a crucial role in contributing to strategy implementation, identifying investment opportunities, and conducting due diligence. As a senior member, this role will see you demonstrating leadership skills in managing and developing a junior team and taking charge of driving investment outcomes.

Key Responsibilities of the Role Will Include:

• Implementing and overseeing outcomes for the infrastructure and real assets portfolio.

• Creating a focus list of investments aligned with guidelines and leading their comprehensive due diligence.

• Coordination and collaboration with internal teams (like legal, tax, ESG) and external advisors to ensure seamless deal execution.

• Active management of the existing portfolio and a range of direct and fund managed investments to drive performance.

• Contributing to the team’s culture by being a proactive and collaborative team player

As the Successful Candidate, You Will Likely Bring the Following Competencies and Experience:

• Strong academic qualifications, including a tertiary undergraduate degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience in the industry, ideally in direct investment transactions.

• Strong knowledge of debt and equity capital markets with experience in infrastructure and real asset investments

• A solid network of contacts and AICD graduate status to serve board director of portfolio investments.

• Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills with a strong commercial judgement.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience in report writing and presenting to varied audiences.

• Innovative problem-solving abilities with a focus on achieving business objectives.

• A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to ethical behaviour and continuous improvement
