Our client, a Global Venture Capital fund with an exciting broad mandate is looking to add a Head of Finance to their passionate collaborative and dynamic team. The firm has a track record investing in start-ups, scale-ups and visionary founders that are innovators in the realms of climate-tech, digital health and retail-tech to name a few.
As the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for developing and running a best-in-class finance function, working closely with the executive, investors and other stakeholders.
Responsibilities will include;
• All day-to-day finance, tax and reporting matters
• Lead all financial planning & analysis (FP&A) for the fund, including IFRS reporting, management reporting, investor reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury & cash flow management
• Act as a key liaison with investors’ external reporting, finance, compliance & investor relations teams
• Manage third party relationships, including the fund auditor, the general partner’s independent directors, the fund operator & any external financial advisors & external tax advisers
Successful candidates will likely have ~10+ years’ relevant experience preferably in PE/VC funds finance, be a Chartered Accountant and have significant experience in:
1. An accounting valuation environment, with a thorough understanding of IFRS reporting standards and of valuations of companies
2. An accounting auditing environment, with a thorough understanding of preparing and interpreting financial statements
