About the Opportunity
Investment Analyst/Associate – Renewable Energy Investor

• APAC renewable energy investor & developer

• Play a key role in driving investment decisions, transactions & value creation

• Brisbane base

The client is an Asia Pacific focussed energy transition platform that develops, owns, operates and invests into an extensive portfolio of clean energy assets in the APAC region, primarily in Australia, Japan and South Korea, with offices also in Singapore and Taiwan.

In Australia, the platform is a high-growth investor and developer of renewable energy projects that enjoys the backing of significant institutional capital partners and has ambitious plans to move into disruptive areas of green technology. With this in mind, they are now looking to hire an Investment Associate/Analyst into their team based in Brisbane.

This role will work directly with the broader Investments team and will report into the Head of Investments, Australia. The role’s key responsibilities will include:

• Support the execution & analysis required for M&A transactions & business development activities

• Preparation & updating of financial models for the acquisition/divestment, development & project financing of renewable energy projects

• Research & analysis of industry information, technical & financial data for investment decision support

• Prepare presentations for key internal and external stakeholders, including lenders, senior executives & the investment committee

The successful candidate will likely bring the following competencies and experience:

• 2-6 years’ experience within corporate finance, project finance, investment banking or experience in PPP transactions

• Strong financial modelling, project management & execution skills

• The ability to interrogate & amend complex financial models

• Excellent communication & negotiation skills

• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in a small but highly active environment

• Experience across renewables, energy & other infrastructure like sectors is preferrable
