Our client is a leading regional alternative asset manager with in excess of $100bn in AUM. They invest in focused real asset companies and assets across logistics/industrial, digital assets, life sciences/healthcare, education, and other specialised asset classes. The manager has established a market-leading real asset platform that leverages scale and expertise to deliver innovative asset solutions. With a committed and concerted growth strategy, they are seeking to add a Principal and Associate to the Sydney team.
Reporting to the Head of Australia, you will play a key role in supporting the real estate investment activities and be responsible for conducting in-depth research, analysis, and evaluation of potential real estate platform and asset investment opportunities, including due diligence efforts and liaison with various stakeholders to facilitate investment processes. In addition, you will have carriage for monitoring and optimising the performance of the existing real estate portfolio - including ownership for developing & maintaining property & fund level models; analysis of asset & portfolio performance against investment strategies; preparation & presentation of investment reports; financial models & investment memos to senior management and investors.
Tertiary qualified with excellent academic results, you will have gained 3-6 years (Associate) or 7-10 years (Principal) experience in real estate investment analysis or related fields such as asset management, private equity, or investment banking preferably. You will have excellent financial modelling skills and proficiency in analysing complex financial data, in-depth knowledge of real estate markets and investment principles, ideally across Australia and Asia Pacific. With excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex concepts in a clear and concise manner, you will also have demonstrable ability to work independently and as part of a team, handling multiple projects and deadlines concurrently.
